Ribbonwood Station is located 13 miles (21 km) from the small South Island town of Fairlie, the “Gateway To The Mackenzie Country”. It’s a scenic 2.5-hour drive south of Christchurch International Airport and on the main route to Tekapo and Queenstown. We are easy to find and we are sure you will enjoy staying at a working high country station. It is very peaceful, has beautiful scenery and is a perfect location to escape from the city and enjoy nature! The property is 5000 acres with access to over 50,000 acres of hunting zone.
This is the ultimate hunt and a magnificent display on the wall in your home. Here at Ribbonwood Station, we have adopted an extensive wild game management programme, so you will potentially see an abundance of Stags every day from spikers through to 300-500 SCI and the occasional 500 trophy class.
We have plenty of Fallow Deer at Ribbonwood Station. Fallow Deer are widespread across New Zealand. The Fallow Deer offers attractive trophies from 200" to 240" SCI.
A Tahr (Hemitragus jemlahicus) is a large goat-like animal, native to the central Himalayan ranges of India and Nepal.
In New Zealand tahr are found in the central Southern Alps in the immediate vicinity to Ribbonwood Station
